Communications

Patients are asked to check with nursing staff regarding the use of cell phones within the hospital as these can interfere with calibrated medical equipment.

Complimentary wireless internet access is available for all of our patients.

If you bring computer equipment, cellphones or other electronic devices into the hospital, please be aware that Royston cannot take responsibility for their safe keeping.

Cultural needs

Please let us know if you have any spiritual or cultural needs. Should the services of an interpreter be required, please let us know well in advance of your surgery to ensure that this is arranged. There is a cost for this service.

Meals

We offer light refreshments and beverages post surgery.

Mobility equipment

At Royston Day Surgery, we have a variety of mobility equipment for hire or purchase (e.g. crutches and walking frames).

Physiotherapy

Your specialist and nursing staff will discuss with you the need for any physiotherapy. While you are free to make arrangements with any physiotherapist of your choice, here at Royston Day Surgery we receive an excellent service from the on-site physiotherapists at Focus Health.

Located in the Royston Centre, Focus Health is well placed to meet your needs and they will be happy to continue to provide service after discharge.
