Specialist training

Alistair did his medical degree at Auckland University and specialty training at Hawke’s Bay and Waikato Hospitals. He did one year of sub-specialty training in foot and ankle surgery at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, UK and at Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley in 2009/10. During that time he trained with four surgeons who do specialist foot and ankle surgery and gained broad experience.
